The Heart of ORA

Visionary Artist / Intuitive Guide / Wisdom Keeper/ Therapeutic Arts Facilitator
My work and vision bring together African ancestral wisdom, sacred creativity, and intuitive guidance through a decolonized expressive arts practice. With care for your unique unfolding, I support you in accessing your inner wisdom, reclaiming your expression, and restoring a more rooted relationship with yourself.
My role is to witness, invite, support, and honor your process. To make space for what words alone cannot hold, explore the stories and conditioning you carry, and nurture trust in your own knowing. Together, we walk a path of remembering who you are and choosing how you wish to live.
Framework
The 5 Pillars
ORA’s five pillars offer an interconnected pathway for reclaiming your emotional voice, questioning inherited conditioning, and restoring connection with ancestry, spirit, and self. Rooted in African ancestral wisdom and a decolonized worldview, you are guided through an expressive arts practice that supports you in remembering who you are and live with greater self-trust, belonging, and intention.
-
Making room for feelings, needs, and truths you’ve learned to silenced.
A safe, decolonized space where you can reconnect to emotions that were historically suppressed due to colonial conditioning, survival patterns, or family lineage dynamics.
-
Examining inherited beliefs and choosing what truly belongs to you.
To gently dismantle the psychological distortions shaped by colonial conditioning. Such as perfectionism, self-policing, internalized inferiority, distrust of intuition, ultimately guiding you back to your original, unbroken inner truth.
-
Deepening relationship with inner knowing and the sacred.
To help you reconnect with the spiritual parts of yourself that has been suppressed, demonized, or severed through colonial wounding. This pillar restores trust in your intuition and the blueprint of your soul.
-
Reconnect with lineage, ancestral memory, and cultural belonging.
To help you reconnect with your lineage by acknowledging inherited patterns, reclaiming ancestral strengths, and rebuilding the spiritual and cultural threads that were severed or suppressed through colonization. This pillar helps you experience your ancestry not as a distant past but as a living, supportive presence.
-
Reclaiming a sense of self on your own terms.
This pillar explores how family narratives, societal expectations, and cultural disconnection have shaped your identity. Through reflection and creative expression, question inherited labels, recognize the roles you carry, and reconnect with parts of yourself you have silenced. You get to explore who you are, what you value, and where you feel a sense of belonging that allows you to live more authentically.
For those seeking a more rooted sense of self
ORA is an African-centered expressive arts practice for seekers, sensitive souls, and those longing for a more rooted relationship with themselves. It welcomes people questioning inherited beliefs, cultural disconnection, recognizing the harms of colonial conditioning, or navigating a world that feels overwhelming and disconnected.
With particular care for Black, Indigenous, and other marginalized people (including neurodivergent individuals, women, and LGBTQ+ folks). ORA offers space to explore identity, reclaim inner wisdom, and reconnect with ancestry, spirit, and belonging.
This work is for you if…
You have learned to silence your feelings, needs, or intuition to be accepted
You feel caught between who you are and who family, society, or institutions expect you to be.
You long for connection with your ancestry but feel uncertain about where to begin.
You are questioning beliefs about your worth, identity, or spirituality that no longer feel like your own.
You have explored or considered therapy, but long for support that also honors your cultural roots, ancestral connections, and spiritual understanding of healing.
You question the values and expectations society asks you to accept, and want to discover what feels true for you.
You feel deeply, notice what others overlook, and long for space to hear yourself within a world that feels loud.
What becomes possible along this path
Through African-centered teaching, expressive practice, and guided reflection, ORA supports you in recognizing what you have inherited, choosing what you carry forward, and developing a more grounded relationship with yourself.
Over time, this work helps you…
Reclaim your emotional voice: Recognize your feelings and needs, honor your sensitivity, and express yourself with greater honesty and care.
Question inherited conditioning: Examine ideas about worth, beauty, success, and belonging shaped by colonial and societal expectations. Make room for values you consciously choose.
Restore ancestral connection: Explore cultural memory and lineage with care, finding sources of belonging while acknowledging the wisdom and complexity of your inheritance.
Deepen self-trust and spiritual connection: Hear your own knowing more clearly amid outside expectations, and nurture a relationship with the sacred that feels meaningful to you.
Live from a clearer sense of identity: Make choices, set boundaries, and build relationships that honor who you are, rather than asking you to silence or diminish yourself.
These changes take shape in everyday moments: naming a need you once dismissed, protecting space when the world feels loud, questioning a standard you once accepted, or expressing something you previously kept hidden.
The invitation is to become more aware of what shapes you, more grounded in what sustains you, and an ability to live in alignment with your own wisdom.
